At the weekend Hubz and I had a little walk at a nearby park.... the clouds were all over ... but not bringing any rain unfortunately.....
This week's Dutch Treat block is a sail boat...
.... and 6 new blocks towards the Anthology quilt.....
.. and one towards Living the Dream quilt with the No Fuss Stitchalong....
My 10 minutes a day machine sewing continues ... sometimes it is spent preparing but now I have my 9 patch blocks done.....
... the next task is to make green and white squares to go around the border .... then I can start sewing the rows together.... it's getting there....
It's still hot here and I am struggling to quilt for very long .... so short bursts and then something to cool down... like doing a blog post in front of the air conditioner!
Righto, Gotto Go.... I can go back and do a little more now....
Hi Fiona. Wow you sure have been busy ,lots of beautiful work you have done my friend, well done .
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you and Dave got a chance to go for a walk ,it's been hot down this way too ,hope it cools down for you soon xx
It's still hot here too......completely saps one's energy, doesn't it! Love your sewing, I am really looking forward to being able to use my sewing room again.
ReplyDeleteEverything is lovely. Always enjoy seeing what you do.
ReplyDeleteThe tea pots are looking lovely...stay in the cool!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sewing! I do like that pink and white striped embroidery block so much.
ReplyDeleteGreat progress! I am trying to prep for quilting in the winter, eg making backings. I have one ready to quilt, but too hot for me!
ReplyDeleteLove the sail boat block..your other blocks are coming along well..hot down here too, hopefully the promised cool change comes next week.
ReplyDeleteLove the boat block. Your teacup/teapot quilt looks beautiful. This heat is terrible. I'd hoped to put the binding on yesterday but just didn't have the energy.
ReplyDeleteDT block is wonderful! Love your teacups......you are making the most of your 10 minutes! The heat does sap your energy....Anthology is looking great too.
ReplyDeleteSo good Fiona....so much on the go! That 10 m thing a day is working for me too!
ReplyDeleteLove the sail boat and your teapot/teacup quilt will be just great.....
ReplyDeleteLove the colours of your teapot nine patch quilt. Its been tee shirt and shorts weather here too, making knitting etc really hard. xcx
ReplyDeleteStill feel amazed when I see your Dutch treat blocks!
ReplyDeleteLove the progress on your teacups, that is looking so beautiful!
Hope you keep cool, we are heading into some hot weather down here too.
Not looking forward to it at all!
Looking good
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks Fiona 😊
ReplyDeleteThe sailboat is an interesting departure from the rest of the Dutch Treat blocks. Most of the rest of them are more abstract and geometric. The Dutch build beautiful boats, that's for sure! Hope you can stay cool. Sounds like there needs to be an air conditioner in the most important place in your home: the sewing room! :)
ReplyDeleteThe sailboat is a cute block - almost abstract! And nice to see your progress on your other projects too, proof that you can just chip away at things and voila! they get done!
ReplyDeleteLove that sailboat!! Your 9 patches look great - really like the color with the stitched blocks. Stay cool!!!
ReplyDeleteI think you are way over 10 minutes sewing a day..... but I love the way you count time... I also got some sewing done today but it was a dress... along with the backing for Robbie's quilt...
ReplyDeletelovely blocks! You are the most prolific quilter I've ever come across, you just whip quilts up so quick!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures to look at todsy.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing really well working on all your blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe teapots look good with the nine patches..
Hope it cools down for you soon.
your progressing along well with your projects......no rain here either except for a few mms the other day.........
ReplyDeleteLove the sailboat Fiona... the teapots are looking wonderful, you're doing a great job!
ReplyDeleteThe sailboat block is so cute! I am thinking of putting some sort of stitchery in between my nine patches... yours look great xx
