Little finishes....

I seem to have a few little finishes done lately amongst my ongoing blocks of various quilts....

These needlebooks are Anni Downs designs... I did the stitcheries some time ago and have finally finished them....

Inside is a little wool pad for the needles and a pocket for the threads....

and here is a mug rug (Bronwyn Hayes design) and a fridge magnet (another Anni Downs) and these went to a friend with a birthday.....

This is a new to me quilting design that I did recently... nice for a boy quilt border....

.. and of course another Dutch Treat block.... this little butterfly was a challenge - especially those little spots .....

At the weekend Hubz and I went for a walk in one of the nearby National Parks....

... lovely to be amongst the tall gum trees....

.. and flowering wattle trees.... the scent of these remind me of my childhood and I love to rub my face in those soft balls of fluff....

... we walked up the ridge to get this lovely view... a lot of raw granite and bushland....

.. this fungi was such a magnificent colour....

... and of course we had to end the day with one of my favourite easy meals, roasted cherry tomatoes and camembert cheese....

Righto, Gotto Go.....  I need to choose between another UFO or a new project... or both.... oh the decisions in life these days!

  5. What a lovely post. Great finishes. The needle case is too cute. I have that book, even a fabric kit for the bookmark, but have never made anything out of it. I should remedy that. Your bushwalk sounds great. A very scenic spot.

  10. Love your finishes, beautifully done.
I have a lot to finish and my brain is still mush, so just doing what I can and later when my brain kicks back in I can finish things.

  26. Wonderful little needle books. Your mugrug is way too beautiful to put a mug on it. I would just pin it to the wall. I can see the difficulty of making that DT butterfly but you did an awesome job. I love it. As for your big decision; I vote for both lol. ;^)
