Catch a falling thread.....

... and put it in the basket....

... save it for the rubbish bin....
... or whatever ....

.. using up scraps....

I did write up a tutorial for these very easy quick and useful thread catchers HERE....

...these are going in the giftie box ...

I have one that lives in my pick up and go sewing bag.... it's ok to drop threads on your own floor but surely etiquette forbids us to do it to others????

Righto, Gotto Go... cleaning up I also found a bunch of blocks from a block swap..... 20 of them to be exact....... time to play with those.....

  1. Cute! I should try making one from your tutorial for my 'pick up and go'sewing, too! That's a good idea and it would get a lot of use.

  20. Those are super cute, Fiona! I inadvertently drop thread everywhere I go - it clings to my clothing and falls off where it shouldn't. *G* Love your bath mat too, it looks SO soft and cushy!

  21. that's a lot of thread catchers! They look lovely all together like that. I like how you are always "finding" things that you need to make up, but you are so productive. Do you have a big box of WIPs or are they all new projects?

  22. Lovely thread catchers, Fiona! I actually made one after your tutorial a couple of weeks ago. All I can say, I'm a terrible pattern reader. But it turned out allright anyway.
