Weekend Sports ......

This weekend we wanted to spend it quietly..... there was an awful lot of sport on TV....

... there was footy on Friday night... so I stitched some pretty knots and daisies....

... on Saturday there was cricket so I appliqued a stitchery onto a wool background....

... then there was car racing so I stuffed some bunnies.....

... Sunday had more car racing (and footy.....) so I did blanket stitch for my Natures Journey blocks...

..... during the breaks I played in my sewing room designing some quilting for this months FMQ challenge....

Our special treat was that moment.....

... when little newest grandiegirl realises there is someone on the computer screen talking to her....

... enough to get the tears going!!!....

...... Righto, Gotto Go.... I need to recover from that busy sporty weekend!!!

  1. There is an advantage to all that sport being on. Sitting stitching! Lots of lovely stitching there, Fiona. What a gorgeous photo of your little grandie realising you are talking to her.

  4. Wow! You fid get a lot done. Everything is looking great. Too much sport on for my liking, even on the radio. The only sport I love is now only on foxtel which I don't have nor do I wish to.The V8 supercars gone but not forgotten. Also WWE wrestling hehehe.

  18. I do love a sporty weekend too and for the same reason. For us it was rugby and football and the bonus was that it was raining outside so no guilty feelings about not doing the gardening! xx

  19. Your little grandie is adorable. I love winter, as there is lots of football on tv which means lots of uniterrupted sewing time for me. Looks like its the same in your place.
