More binding.....

A friend asked me to make up a quilt for her to give to a little girl..... she liked bold pink and brown, wanted horse panel and also puppies and flowers.....

It is needed this month so I have worked hard to get it finished in time... this is what I have come up with....

the horse panel pictures were 12" so it was an easy way to work out to do the other blocks 6"

I quilted around the big applique daisies and added squiggles and freeform daisies in the blocks... in the horse blocks I quilted around the horses and then some wavy sky....

... stripes in all the colours made up the perfect binding....

I did struggle a bit with what was asked... I'm not used to making it all up on my own but I rather like the finished result....

Righto, Gotto Go... there is some secret sewing to be done.....

I would have soooo love a quilt like that when I was a little girl (and that was not soooo long ago!) LOL. Well, except for the pink; I am NOT a pink girl but I DO love horses AND puppies AND flowers AND brown. You nailed it so beautifully. She must be thrilled to the bones. Congrats on a VERY special finish.
