Friday Night Sew In ..........

Thanks Wendy for getting us all together on Friday night.... even though I sew most nights it's still fun to sew knowing that lots of others are sewing at the same time....

I basted a quilt during the morning ....

.. and then in the evening after a nice piece of lamb Hubz watched the footy so I got out and sewed a few leaves.....

today I am doing a bit of quilting (it's still Friday somewhere in the world!)

I treated myself to some of these rulers which guide the free motion foot so I am having a go with them....  I have struggled with tension issues when using the walking foot so this seems a good option for me....

This is a pocket base for a bag.....

.. don't you think I am awfully clever to have both hands there and take a photo at the same time?

My roses are having their last flourish before winter... have had a bit of wind the last couple of days so my garden is a bit confettified....

Righto, Gotto Go...... bag to make....

I hope you all have a lovely weekend

Our roses are flourishing now that the big tree is gone, perhaps they didn't like growing under its canopy. I use my walking foot and seam guide for straight lines.

It's such a happy quilt, the one you are pinning. Every block has made me smile.
Joy had something to say about tension with a walking foot...if only I could remember what and your roses are so much more luxuriant than mine!

How was it stitching with the ruler, did it stay in place easily? I'm sure it's going to look wonderful

I just think your clever managing to stitch a straight line and hold the ruler! Oh and getting the photo to work what with the light on the machine confusing my auto flash on the camera, all my close up photos fail!

Does this mean you have three hands????? Is that why you get so much done??Lol!! Love the look of your quilt with the butterflies! Your stitchery looks lovely. Our roses have all but finished just a few single flowers around! have a great Sunday!

um, WOW, that butterfly quilt is stunning! Aha...now I know how you manage to get so much done, and I thought you were just focused and well organizes (not to mention talented). In reality you have two sets of hands. How truly useful...or are you just extremely nimble and used your feet?

Fiona, oh dear I hope you are feeling better, nasty colds are a pest!
The confetti'd garden is so pretty, and your quilting is very clever... however, methinks that the glove on the right has no hand in it, am I right?! Otherwise, it would be a super-clever selfie!
