Hubz went away for a few days this week for work.... I don't really like it when he is away but I do take advantage of the time alone ..... I make a big bowl of soup and ignore everything but my sewing...
I carried on with my quilting practice following the workshop I did with Joy...
this next one shows that I did quite a bit of marking....
....once sprayed there is a big difference....
.... I also like a little bit of sweet so I made an apple pie...
A sheet of ready made puff pastry ... and 2 apples peeled, quartered and sliced... with a few sultanas, a shake of cinnamon powder and a dribble of honey ....
... fold up the corners and press the edges to seal.... poke a couple of little holes in the pastry so the apples can breathe....
.... then cook for about half and hour till nice and golden brown....
I had a quarter of pie for my dessert with a good blob of home made yoghurt ... and there was enough for breakfast, lunch and tea the next day!!!!
I also had a sewing day with some friends.....
.... oooops... this is the right picture....
... and I made some birthday bunting as widget turns 5 next week ....
this is a panel I got from The Quilters Angel.....
Righto, Gotto Go.... I do hope all the mums have a lovely day tomorrow ....

Oh, my goodness, your quilting is just beautiful! I am so envious of your patience and skill.
ReplyDeleteWow! That apple pie certainly looks classy, with its unconventional shape and make. The yoghurt in place of the custard sauce makes the pie even healthier than most, which is a plus. I would love to try making a pie with the same method you did there. The quilting looks awesome, BTW. Have a happy week!
