How cute are these little boots.....
inspired by this wonderful tutorial HERE at Stumbles and Stitches....
First I made a little template of what I wanted..... and traced out a bunch of boots.....
(those are inches... not centimetres!!!!!
.... I'd like to think there is a little bit of sanity left in me!)
.. then I got out that silver thread and quilted weeny little feathers.....
(I found I needed very loose tension in the machine for the metallic thread)
sewing on the ribbons and around the edges before cutting out the rest of the boot....
... pretty cute huh?.....
.. the back is a firm glittery fabric from years ago.... I think I need to find some more... it was great for this project....
.... now I'm wishing I made more.... but that will be another year....
Righto, Gotto Go...there are half made trees that need tending to.....
..but first I need to finish a present to go under someone's tree..
1/2 inch hexies... ok... there is no doubt about my sanity levels now!!!
How cute are these little stockings , I love how you stitched them and with metallic threads , you were brave , great job! Hugs Sheila

Your little boots are adorable! What a great idea! :0)
ReplyDeleteThey are utterly gorgeous! I might have to try doing something like that... only I will have to do the quilting without a pattern or machine that does it for me. Booo.

ReplyDeleteWow...you are amazing these are so darn cute Bubz...
ReplyDeleteThose little boots ARE cute!! They'd be perfect for me to practice FMQ...only have a little workspace, so can only FMQ lttle. Half-inch hexies? That's pretty small. I started a 1/2" hexie project once - didn't get very far!!
