A new species of beetle......

Yesterday I got an envelope postmarked "Goomalling".... never heard of it... had to google it...

I was very worried that someone was sending me dodgy stuff as it had been marked with Australian Border Security and wrapped in plastic...

I did a funny beetle typed dance when I saw what was in there.... just brilliant...

a few weeks ago I remarked about finding beetles amongst the rhododendrons and between Bev and I we had an email chat about these foreign import beetles that got through the border!

(Australia is extremely careful about what creatures and plants come through to avoid problems here - I was lucky to get passed!)

.. isn't this just so clever.....

this is a very beautiful beetle as you can see and if you give it a squeeze it smells of lavender!

Thank you so much Bev.. you made my day... and how nice to have a beetle named after me!

Righto, Gotto Go and make sure that beetle doesn't escape this house...
