Market Bag ...

I drew out this stitchery long ago when it first came out in Homespun Vol 11 No.5 ...... A design by Natalie Lymer of Cinderberry Stitches ...

In the last couple of months I have done the stitchery having planned to make a little wallhanging ....

... but then I found spare 5" blocks of my Little Apples fabrics and they just seemed perfect for a fresh market theme.....

so I cut them into smaller blocks and sewed them back together....

and found some olive green for straps and lining

It's about 14" by 16" so enough to carry some yummy market fruit and veges

I put a little pocket inside...enough for a purse and a phone
... and a little doohicky to hang your keys on....

Righto, Gotto Go.....

This weekend I get to play at Stitchers Dream Day out
with the ladies from Quilters Angel....
and...
Debbie McGee (Always Stitchin')

I know I will see a few bloggy friends too.... will be such a fun weekend

  5. A good use of your stitchery......I have one finished in my sewing room, and haven't decided what to do with it, particularly as I don't know why I bought it in the first place, it's not even my taste......

  21. I love this bag Fiona! Love it! And the doohicky idea is brilliant; no rummaging through zucchini or carrots to find the keys at the bottom of the bag...
Have a great Dream Day... will think of you while I am sitting in the rain at soccer...
