I have finally quilted and bound one of my two Scrappy Trip around the World quilts...
This is a Bonnie Hunter design and the tutorial can be found HERE .... a great way to use up 2 1/2" strips and really quite quick and easy when you think of all those little squares...
I haven't done much meandering so that is what I chose to practice.... not bad but there are still bumps and pointy bits where they shouldn't be.... more practice... I'll just have to finish the other quilt!!
With a busy quilt like this nobody will notice.... except of course quilt police with magnifying glasses...
quite effective....
I am playing along with Anorina's Scrap Challenge... ( I do love a good scrap project!)
This is last weeks challenge..... very sweet and easy so I made two....
little hearts... which could be used for pincushions... I rather like them hanging .... with other trinkets....
These will be going in the box for the Birthday Love Stash.... which means I might need to make another for myself????
This quiltalong is giving lots of tips about being accurate with little points! Mine have certainly improved but quilt police with magnifying glasses would certainly notice imperfections!!!
These are weekly blocks and I have been keeping up with sewing them.... just not blogging about them....
Block 4...
Block 5....
Block 6
Righto, Gotto Go... I have a UFO to finish off....
I do hope you have had a lovely stitchy weekend...
That quilt has turned out beautifully, and the hearts are divine. Someone will be very happy to find one of those in their parcel.

Meandering is NOT the easiest (contrary to what I thought when I started this whole quilty 'trip') but it helps me to do a "self-talk" thing like this...."think puzzle pieces", repeat.... Love the "accuracy" blocks a lot!! I've just started to take in commissioned quilts to quilt cuz I just can't finish the tops quick enough to satisfy my quilt stitching love! LOL! I'll have to spend some time getting to 'know' you through your posts....fun! Hugs, Doreen
