I did a cushion swap recently and this is the one I made and sent off.....
I think these seagulls are really quite sweet .....
I 'made' the background fabric from small blocks of different light fabrics.... so that and the quilting gives it a bit of texture - pebbles on the ground for the beach... and feathers above...
the back has an envelope opening with a couple of wooden buttons to fasten....
Alison loves reproduction prints and I hope she likes this modern design using them.....
The pattern for this cushion is from Homespun No 103 Vol 12 No.12 and is a design by Claire Turpin ...
The other project with reproduction prints I am doing is the 9 patch swap.. these are May's blocks ....
...my little pile is growing....
Righto, Gotto Go... it's June now so another set of blocks is required!
