My heart is sore for all of those affected by the bombs in Boston yesterday....... such craziness in this world

I spent a lot of hours this last week quilting my large Liberty Fields quilt top....
The quilting is by no means perfect... but soooooooo much fun to do.....
this is how the bunches of flowers look from the back....
... circle feathers were squared off at the corners ....
I really struggled with these triangles....I seem to be able to do them well in one direction but not the other.... it is probably something to do with right side/left side of the brain......
... the corners....
... and the border..... I did the lines free motion... would have had a straighter result if I used a walking foot but I wanted the naive nature of slightly squonk lines....
I used cream thread throughout except for the pebbling (or seeding in this case) of the flowers where I used a light gold to soften the contrast....
Lucky for me Susan gave me a bag of scraps on Sunday.....
so yesterday I managed to make the scrappy binding ....
... and just to show that I haven't forgotten a sneaky peak I also did some quilting on Sharon's table runner....
Righto, Gotto Go... edges to trim, binding to add .......
It's beautiful, Fiona. Love the pebbling/seeding in the flowers.
