A little finish.....

I made this passport holder for a friend just before the rellies all arrived......

The pattern is from Homespun (Vol 13 No 11)

nice and easy... I can see myself using this pattern again sometime.... although I didn't put in all the pockets

funky fabrics....

I made passport holders for my family last year like this one from Anni Downs 'Some Kind of Wonderful' and it was so lovely to see them being used when they visited......

It does make it so much easier to know exactly where to look for documents.

We did travel around a fair bit and since I can't stitch in the car without feeling queasy it is a good time for knitting and crochet - I got a few wash cloths done....

The green one is a bamboo yarn... lovely and soft ..... the blue and white are both cotton yarn but very different textures.

I just make a square  5" - 6" on each side.... perfect size for bodies or dishes!!  I just love the cotton/bamboo washers and use them all the time now.....

Another of my birthday gifts (from DIL and her mum - thanks Jude and Ruth!) were these lovely batik fabrics and variegated DMC threads....

I have traced out some of Michelle's stitcheries where I will use some of the thread ..... one of them is an alphabet letter from her new designs ... but you can't see which letter.... it's a secret..... the other is a Christmas design....

Righto, Gotto Go...... these stitcheries need stitchin'.....
