I made these very very very yummy almond biscuits
"biscotti"
using Christine's recipe HERE
... sooooooo easy..
... the only hard bit is waiting to slice and dry!
PS.... I did share with Hubz even though he didn't do one stitch!!
Cheryll hosted Friday Night with Friends
... and I love to have a reason to stitch with my mates....
This is what I got up to....
Scrappy binding for Chris's quilt....
... and this is how it looked by the end.....
.... then I got a few stitches more done with my redwork snowman of Michelle's ....
... these guys showed up too.....
Thanks Cheryl for hosting such a fun evening.....

ReplyDeleteThe binding will suit the quilt so well. Yummo, biscotti! We bought some Swedish cinnamon bun biscotti while we were in Canada, it was made using the same spices as the bakery's cinnamon buns and was absolutely delicious.
ReplyDeleteFab binding Fiona, it will look great!
ReplyDeleteAnd that Almond Bread looks so yum...
Your Almond Bread looks delicious! A successful night of sewing, by the looks of it! Even if hubbie didn't contribute!
ReplyDeleteI have a new found love for a good scrappy biding :o) I am also making yummy Almond bread but just need to restock the almonds as I might have just eaten them during the week! hugs
ReplyDeleteSo much done sewing with friends, I find myself talking too much when I try to sew in a group. I must learn to multitask. The biscotti look delish, healthy too I'll bet.
ReplyDeleteHeaps done and the binding will look great when on the quilt too. I haven't had biscotti for years
ReplyDeleteBiscuits aren't a dessert, they are a snack, and snacks are encouraged to keep your metabolism working effectively! I know all the rationalisations, lol. Your binding is looking gorgeous! Lovely work on your snowman! Your babies must be almost done :)
ReplyDeleteOh I must try and make some of the delicious biscotti...
ReplyDeleteNice to get the binding done.. sew many sneaky things too.
Love your scrappy binding. The red work is coming along nicely and the biscuits look delicious. Hugs....
ReplyDeleteMmmmm yummy biscotti. Nuts don't count as sweets.
ReplyDeleteCute stitching, I was working in red too, though not on a snowman he would have melted here today!
Looking forward to seeing those little gingerbread people who keep sneaking in the pictures.
