Finally.........

A couple of years ago I did a StitchALong with Marina, Lorraine and Carol....

In the midst of moving things around to put up my new table I discovered it again....

A bit of quilting - in the ditch around the square borders and around the mini hexagon flowers
(those are tiny 1/2" hexagons.....)

It didn't take long to make a pocket back and add it on.....

... LOVE IT .....
such a happy cushion and it was such fun making it with others
- and we have kept in touch since sewing this together....

I don't know why it took so long to finish off....

Another UFO done.....

Our coldest morning so far this winter... my top lawn.... I love pictures of frost..

even the popular spa  birdbath was frozen over..... hmmm... iceskating anyone?

Righto.... Gotto Go .... I'm still sewing binding.....

  8. I love the sentiment in the words. Don't you go out into the frost and pour hot water into the bird bath for your friends to play??

  19. Oh dear Fiona, this puts me to shame...mine isn't finished. I must make an effort to do so. I really like what you have done with yours. Perhaps that can be the next thing once I have caught up with all the hexie flowers I need to make.

  23. Its nice to find things like this. When I made the Christmas Pinwheel Table Runner using your tutorial, I cut and sew a top for a patriotic one. Just before time to put out my decorations in May, I was going to quilt it. I couldn't find it anywhere and began to doubt I'd ever made it. Last week, I was checking through material and scraps to use in the last row of our SAL and there it was. Its on the sewing table now, I'm going to quilt it the next time I sit down there. I've been doing some hand sewing and other 'stuff' while I've been feeling bad.
I love the verse on this pillow.
