We have always had cats and dogs as pets for as long as I can remember... one of my new experiences in my maturity has been an allergy to cats...... but I have a pair of these to enjoy...
this is one of them - it's a bit clearer to see on it's own... (but they always live as a pair in my house)
they are very tactile and I love to rub them when I walk past...
here is a close up of a face....
and this is what they peer down to watch!!
Thanks to Melody from The House on the Side of the Hill for hosting Treasure Tuesday... I'm off now to see what others have found....
In the Some Kind of Wonderful book (Anni Downs) we are using for the Stitch-A-Long are lots of wonderful projects....
This cushion is one of them and I finished it a little while ago but sent it off and was waiting so I didn't spoil the surprise
I used mainly fabrics from the Rural Jardin range with an assortment of naturals...
It's gone to a friend.....
which means I might need to make another .....
for me....
some hand quilting around the edges...
little felt flowers and a needleturn birdie....
the back pocket has natural wood buttons
and edged with jumbo ric-rac....
Righto, Gotto Go.... blogs to read ...........

Wow! Your cats are gorgeous!!! I really don't know how I would cope if I developed an allergy to them!! I love ours dearly, and have had at least two since I was 6 or 7!! (We would add and replace as we fell in love ... and lost our others!) ... I also love that cushion!! I've been thinking about making myself one of them, though I reckon I want to make my own SKoW sewing bag first!!! I really enjoyed making it for Cheryll earlier in the year, and would love to have one of my very own!!! ... That'll be later in the year though, lol!! Too many other projects to keep me occupied!!! Hugs!!!
Love your cat, it looks nice and smooth from all that rubbing! The quilt looks good too... and I love the idea of buttons on the back of the cushion, definitely going to use that idea on the next ones I made. All you work is lovely Fiona. Hugs
Lovely cushion - like the cats too - so cute. Mayeb I should have that sort - our cat eats fabric - especially T shirt fabric - very dangerous - and - lettuce!! Nothing wrong with our cat???

Oh no, an allegy to cats! Mind you, I am allergic too but not enough that it matters but it did register in my allegy testing. I also got selective deafness that day too. Coincidence? Maybe not! I love your cushion & the back is just as gorgeous as the front. Tracee xx

Those cats are really lovely.....the mouse, too. Your cushion is fabulous. Love the fabrics and the design. The ric rac really finishes it off nicely.
I really love your cats , they are easy to feed too and no hair to clean up :-) The cushion is just lovely , pretty colors and I love the embroidery and the way you made the backing . hugs Sheila
I like the pillow...
My grandson is allergic to cats and he was over Sunday after Church....luckily we were able to spend most of his visit outdoors...
Sometimes, I despair over hair balls and cat hair but I know I would miss Smokey if he was not here. We've had him now for 6.5 years.
