Cold and Wet .......

We are having unusually cold wet weather here in Sunny Queensland where the weather is beautiful one day and perfect the next!!!

I don't think there comes a much sadder look than the birds facing the rain and just sitting .....



I stayed indoors with this.... (only to be seen once the fat man in the red suit has been)



Mr Random and I had a chat today... you know he is really quite impartial.... makes choosing so much easier ...

I am very pleased to be sending 4 of Toni's fabulous patterns out to:

I would have loved to send everyone a pattern of course.... however, I did notice Toni has a sale on at the moment - there is 30% off all patterns... and they were so reasonable in the first place... this includes PDF patterns so it makes it so easy for overseas.. no extra postage charges.... details on Toni's blog HERE

All this cold makes me hungry... I'm off for a slice of this lovely fruit cake....

Mix it all together in one bowl and cook.... then eat ... how easy is that?

    Oooh! Thanks Fiona! What fun! Maybe you need to pay a visit to some of your southern neighbours! Today has been better than beautiful in Victoria! Or I could just pop up there and help with the fruit cake!

    Congratulations winners!
    I can't find my trackie dacks, had to drag out the jeans and jumper.
    Now that my eyes have feasted on that delicious looking cake, my tummy is having something to say so I'm off to boil the kettle for yet another warm drink and find a nice snack.

    Poor you, it's actually glorious here in Melbourne. I have to put that in because we do have nice weather here contrary to what those Sydney-siders think. ( Just interstate rivalry for all the overseas readers.)
    You quilt looks very interesting, can wait to see it finished. And I love Peg's recipes too. They always work and are always delicious.

    It's been cold and miserable here too, I can sympathise! Wondering what to wear for a Christmas lunch tomorrow, somehow wearing winter clothes doesn't seem right. Congratulations to the winners!

    Well, to echo everyone else, it's also very cold and wet over here on this side of the world....it's been raining for four days straight, and expecting it to turn to snow by Friday!

    We have one thing in common.... Toni's patterns! I just love her doll patterns - the easy peasy way to make a doll! I have made many and all the little girls love them.
