We are having unusually cold wet weather here in Sunny Queensland where the weather is beautiful one day and perfect the next!!!
I don't think there comes a much sadder look than the birds facing the rain and just sitting .....
I stayed indoors with this.... (only to be seen once the fat man in the red suit has been)
Mr Random and I had a chat today... you know he is really quite impartial.... makes choosing so much easier ...
I am very pleased to be sending 4 of Toni's fabulous patterns out to:
# 19 - Peg ..... Puppy Love
# 21 - Cyndi ...... CatNip
# 17 - Suz - Puppy Love
# 23 - Hilary - CatNip
Congrats to all of you.... I'll send you and email and if you can reply with your posting details....
... and a big thank you to Toni for sending the patterns for the give-away....
I would have loved to send everyone a pattern of course.... however, I did notice Toni has a sale on at the moment - there is 30% off all patterns... and they were so reasonable in the first place... this includes PDF patterns so it makes it so easy for overseas.. no extra postage charges.... details on Toni's blog HERE
All this cold makes me hungry... I'm off for a slice of this lovely fruit cake....
made from a recipe Bev shared HERE ..... thanks Bev... I love easy peasy to make yummy to eat recipes...
Mix it all together in one bowl and cook.... then eat ... how easy is that?
Oooh! Thanks Fiona! What fun! Maybe you need to pay a visit to some of your southern neighbours! Today has been better than beautiful in Victoria! Or I could just pop up there and help with the fruit cake!
ReplyDeleteLove that safety pin shot. I am loving the cool wetness so far as i hate the heat. Congrats to the lucky winners!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold and chilly here too--but then it is supposed to be! I hope you warm up soon!!
ReplyDeleteSo much for sunny Queensland. I broke out the trackie dacks and socks, I felt so cold today.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations winners!
ReplyDeleteI can't find my trackie dacks, had to drag out the jeans and jumper.
Now that my eyes have feasted on that delicious looking cake, my tummy is having something to say so I'm off to boil the kettle for yet another warm drink and find a nice snack.
Congratulations to the winners! It's cold and wet here too, but then it is our winter. xx

ReplyDeletePoor you, it's actually glorious here in Melbourne. I have to put that in because we do have nice weather here contrary to what those Sydney-siders think. ( Just interstate rivalry for all the overseas readers.)
ReplyDeleteYou quilt looks very interesting, can wait to see it finished. And I love Peg's recipes too. They always work and are always delicious.
Congrats to the both of you..I'm jealous! Thanks Fiona and Toni for donating to the giveaway!

Who keeps stealing our Summer Fiona??? Bev's cake looks great..even I'm going to have a go(she of the missing cooking gene).
ReplyDeleteIt's been cold and miserable here too, I can sympathise! Wondering what to wear for a Christmas lunch tomorrow, somehow wearing winter clothes doesn't seem right. Congratulations to the winners!
ReplyDeleteHey Fiona! I am so very excited to have won the CatNip pattern...and know I'm going to really enjoy making it. Thank you so, so much, and please thank Mr. Random for me, too!
ReplyDeleteWell, to echo everyone else, it's also very cold and wet over here on this side of the world....it's been raining for four days straight, and expecting it to turn to snow by Friday!
Thanks again, my friend. You made my day! :o)
XOXO,
Cyndi
Oh, sorry, but I forgot to also thank Toni for donating the patterns. She's a peach!
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Cyndi
Congratulations to the winners!
ReplyDeleteI love your bird photo, we get them on the tall trees, but I can't get a shot until I figure out what type of zoom to buy for the new camera.
Debbie

Congrats to all the winners. I am surprised that the birds are just sitting on the branches like that.
