This Tuesdays Treasure.....

Well, my friend Bobbie... who is the local gadget queen gave me this treasure.....


A door peeper.....

(I think she thought I might need it to check out for paparrazzi coming to my door...
...... or so I can quickly put a bit of lippie on and give my hair a brush when George arrives)

I use it to check out the colours when I'm placing a new block.....


or to see the overall effect of a new quilt.....


This is one of my Butterfly Garden blocks....


I love the way it downsizes the projects and gives a useful perspective

makes quite fun photographs too!

    Hi Fiona - Love this idea. I have heard of using a door peeper before to check quilt colours and layout, but haven't tried it myself. I might have to visit Bunnings!

    Well, who knew you could do that with a door peeper! It is pretty cool, though, that you can use that to check for colors and layouts on your quilts. I love learning new uses for things! :o)

    Handy gadgets they are. A friend of a friend's hubby turns wood & put's the peepers in the wood. Mine has a nice handle as well to hold it. Hugs,

    The door peeper's are an amazing idea aren't they? One of the ladies at Saturday Quilting group has one and we all borrow it to have a look at our quilts and colourings.

    I love mine...got a lovely one from the Jarrah Lackey man at a quilt show so it is encased in lovely jarrah...an invaluable gadget...never thought of taking photos with it though, that is a fun idea...
