August Christmas Items.....

I am sure many of us are thinking of people in USA who are waiting for Hurricane Irene's visit.... stay safe everyone...... we are praying for you....

It's time for showing those Christmas Items again.... you do realise it is only 4 months to Christmas?

EEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!

I was lucky enough to receive 2 Christmas Tree blocks this month.... this week this lovely set of trees arrived from Jen (no blog) ....  it's lovely... 4  pieced trees all joined together.... it will fit in perfectly with all the others I have HERE.  Thanks Jen... I love it



My Christmas Items this month are the other 3 little ornaments (the first 3 I showed HERE)
a robin, reindeer and little angel


these will be a fun addition to our decoration collection

I also completed this very cute candle mat


This is from a pattern I received from Annette.  The pattern was nice and easy to follow - a bit of stack and whack, then cutting templates and putting it all together... I have a few embroidery stitches on my machine so I played with some of them..


Thanks Annette for the lovely pattern..... now I have made one I may well do a few more.. they would be lovely gifts....

    Raining here, but hurricane hasn't arrived. Was hoping we could have clear skies for a little bit longer, but we needed the rain anyways.

    I should go get my christmas book that I won and some felt, good project for this weekend.

    Oh Fiona, you are so ahead of the game. I love the Christmas tree block(s). Jen did a great job. Your ornaments are so cute. I love working with wool/felt, you never have to worry about raw edges. I have my August project done, but should really get around to posting it.

    Thank you sweetheart, I know the folks on the east coast can sure use your prayers! I'm watching live coverage right now, have a niece in NY and I'm worried for her.

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE your ornaments!!! They are just darling, are those beads too? Very sweet! The tree block is great, how nice of Jen! Your candlemat is lovely, it looks complicated...great way to use your decorative stitches too! Great gifts!

    Yes, Christmas is creeping up on us much quicker than we think! Love the goodies you have made and the blocks look great too.
    I have family in the US in the hurricane area on the edge. They have been warned to move all items from the yard and secure everything they can. We are hoping it moves away but will have to wait and see.

    Beautiful goodies - I'll bet you were a girl guide?! Nothing like being prepared huh? I can't say I'm thrilled to hear Christmas is only 4 months away - so much to happen between now and then!
