Monday Show and Tell

Still catching up with the Little Birdie Stitches BOM by Little Miss Shabby... The block patterns and instructions for the quilt are in her sidebar..... and the Flickr account is fun to look at - so many different colour ways made....

This is the February  block - Valentine's month


This cute little Kokeshi doll is from a Melly and Me pattern - I used a raw linen which gives a nice texture without being rough... sent to a new little puglet baby girl.....



Earlier this year I won a prize from Michelle of Rag-Tag Stitchin' and she sent the lovely little bear hugs tag with it.... so I had to copy her idea and use up a couple of sweet little birdie designs from Jenny of Elefantz which I had stitched last year....


Michelle has lots of lovely patterns available and often features in Australian craft magazines
(I get a real kick when someone I 'know' has a pattern in a magazine - do you?)

    Lovely stitcheries Fiona! I think I have seen a similar teddy and sewing machine as a folk art painting. I had seen it in a magazine last week. I wondered how it would look as a stitchery and now I know! It looks beautiful.

    Oh oh oh, I didn't know wear to look first they are all so lovely. Very lovely in fact. I'm sure I probably overuse that word but well they are lovely! ;-) The little birds are sweet and well the sewing machine is just great.

    LOVE your birdies and kokeshi doll - I have that pattern saved. Those tags are really darling! And the little bear on the sewing machine, so sweet! I can't sit in the evening without something to do either....at least it keeps us honest, lol!

    As always, your stitcheries are lovely, Fiona! I, uhm, started on the birdie stitcheries from Little Miss Shabby...still working on January! Ha! But I do have all of the squares cut out for the block borders! LOL!

    Wow, you've been busy Fiona. Lots of lovely things to look at. Love the little birds in your February block. The doll is a real cutie, and I just love those tags.
