A fun day....

The lovely Sunday Stitchers from Brisbane are on a retreat close by me and I was so lucky to be able to go and sew with them...

I'm sure some of them will be recognised…..

I did have a delivery to make.... lucky for me to have had some of their lovely quilts to play with.....

Another retreat was on next door… there might have been a morning tea party and show and tell during the morning... and another next door in the afternoon....

I worked on putting together a bunch of precut postcard blocks.....

I had taken photographs of where I wanted the colours so after setting each out they went together fairly quickly....

Then I started my sisters blocks..… Sue is doing these and since I have some African themed fabrics I knew that is what I wanted to do with them......

'Sisi' is a Shona word for Sisters

I love love them.... so fun to do

Righto, Gotto Go..... it has been a horrible windy and dusty few days.... luckily no fires near us but many places do have.... tough times for so many...

Hope you have a lovely week....

I've seen quite a few pictures of it, very scary. There's been a fire up above where my uncle lives in Canada this week, waiting to hear back to see if that is extinguished. Have a lovely week Fiona

I do recognise a few faces there, lovely to have a day out with the girls. Your postcard blocks look amazing, love your sisters, they were first called African queen so your fabrics are super spot on. Nice looking food there too.

What fun you got to join in. The postcards are looking great and I love your Sisters....perfect for your African Sisters....do you want some indigenous scraps I bought in NT or are you making it all African themed?

It's lovely to see your postcard blocks starting to come together, and that elephant fabric on your lady's dress is fabulous :)

It looks like a fun retreat and you got a lot done on your own projects.
I am happy to hear that you are safe from the fires, but hope they are put out soon and others are safe.
