Phew.... just in time.....

Already the end of January..... that's 1/12th of the way to next Christmas.... that's scary!!!

Some time ago Marina was offerring this pumpkin fabric free to a good home ...........  well, I was the only person who wanted it so it has been living with me.......

I have had some hessian (burlap) and this last week I have made these:

not just one bag...........

not two...............

but three grocery shopping bags..............

I am very happy with the result

One for me,
and two towards Christmas gifts

Narelle has challenged us to make one Item for Christmas each month and Allie has a linkie where you can strut your Christmas makes..

These are blocks from Shell's BOM last year....... I made one last year - and gave it away.... I had all the blocks drawn out and I have promised myself to get some UFO's done before starting too much new......

I love the quotes.......

and a Raggedy & Friends blocks which are by Kaaren as a BOM
(I am wa-a-a-ay behind - I'm supposed to be up to 9!!)

Joy hosts Finishing Stitches - 5 UFO blocks completed

That deserves a little celebration?

Safe weekends to you all.... read you in February!!!!

If you remember the post was about Aging and my need for well labelled shampoo bottles.... so many of you seem to have the same problem......

~ well one person didn't - she wrote:

"Well I guess I have to count my blessings cause I can read the shampoo and conditioner enough to tell which one is which - well usually anyway... "

~ ok... so some of us are lucky ~

10 minutes later I got another email from the same person

"I wrote a comment in which I was sort of gloating that I can still read the shampoo bottles ...but once again I dont' know whether I posted it or it is lost somewhere in cyber space. So while I still may have passable eyesight, my computer skills are those of an old grandma who can barely keep up with the times."

~ What a good laugh I had ~

My other great laugh came from this person

"I too know what its like to grab things when not wearing my glasses. I once grabbed basting spray (doesn't everyone keep it on their dressing table) thinking it was hairspray. All day little bits of lint and leaf and even small twigs adhered them selves to my very sticky hair."

So they are both getting some luggage tags for giving me such a laugh
(I'm not naming and shaming them though!!)

Please send your snail mail addresses - Mr Postie will be busy this week

Well done, and I hope you enjoy your goodies
